MUS 2300: Strings Techniques

Teaching Evaluation Statement.

“Your manner with students is excellent. You are bright, skillful, and aware of your surroundings. You understand the importance of starting where students are and building skill and knowledge in ways that make sense. Perhaps the most poignant single conversation I recall was about student practice. “If they would only practice” . . . which one reason why the experiences we generate while students are in our presence need to be so rich.”

James Byo, Ph.D. | Director of School of Music & Carl Prince Matthies Memorial Professor of Music Education

Course Evaluation.

“Josh’s commitment to music teaching and learning is extremely evident with each class meeting. I have rarely encountered an educator so available to accommodate and personalize my learning experience as Josh has, especially within a completely online learning environment. I’ve recognized his teaching methods to reflect a sort of mentorship that is so encouraging as a beginning student.”
